elly b organic skincare

Musings:
Botanical Moisturiser: Thick and creamy, but not oily or clogging, and smells so lovely. Liked this one for a summer day on the weekend with no makeup.

Purifying Cleaning Cream: Very rich and creamy, again without being greasy, however it didn’t get all of my makeup off, needed to go back to the trusty Cetaphil to get the rest of my eye makeup. Did leave the skin nice and hydrated though.

Aromatic Moisturiser: A little lighter in texture than the Botanical moisturiser, loved the smell, nice and hydrating, would definitely use this one again.

Dream Cream: A very rich and nourishing cream, I think this would do wonders on mature skin types. This is elly b’s breakthrough product. As much as I was a fan of how it made my skin feel - more plump and smoother, I have very sensitive skin and probably couldn’t use it every day.

Nourishing Night Cream: Definitely one of my fav’s. I used this every night and really felt a difference in how my skin felt. It was more hydrated and smooth and I didn’t wake up with that tight skin feeling.

Essential Eye Cream: Another favourite, I loved this eye cream! I noticed the area around my eyes look more alive and less squinty!

Just want to note, that I’m not a skincare expert, this is just my opinion on this range.

Really good value for money, new Australian brand and love that it’s organic and all natural – a great new option for skin care.

Face Atelier Shimmer

Musings:
The Face atelier shimmers are very much like a pigment – but seem to be a bit more ‘usable’. They are highlight concentrated pigments of colours in a small container that you can just sift a little out of. They come in some amazing shades too and last forever!
You can use them as a shadow by dipping a stiff brush into them or as a highlighter, using perhaps a kabuki brush or even add to a lip gloss to give it more colour and shine.

Now for some of our favourite colours!
Snake Eyes – like a brown with green in it, absolutely stunning to use as a shadow with huge intensity – amazing on hazel eyes, really brings out the green!
Pink Glaze – A really intense golden pink that’s still very wearable (not too bright), this is simply superb on the lid with lashings of mascara, and is particularly pretty on blue eyes.
Sand – This is beautiful as a highlighter – on the highest point of your brow bone, on the top of your cheekbones and on the cupid’s bow of your mouth. It’s just a lovely shimmer which is neutral enough to suit most skin tones. Fab on brides!

Used as an eye shadow these shimmers are non-creasing so you wont get those ghastly product build up lines on your lids. You can also add some transforming gel to the shimmer to turn it into a paint to use as an eye base or as a liquid liner.
