Smashbox Eyelights
Musings:
Love, love, love the intensity of these metallic eye shadows. They come in the best trio colour options, each colour in the pack complimenting the other, but it’s the vibrancy of the colour that just makes these shadows. They’re not ‘washy’ on the eye; they really make your eyes stand out with their flecked light reflecting pigments. You can use each of the shadow colours on their own or combine two or three of them to give your eye definition and interest. The texture of these shadows is thick and velvety. They don’t end up all over your face; they really have a good hold to them and don’t crease on the lid.
You can apply the shadows wet (by wetting your brush first) to give you a vivid, dramatic, metallic shine, or dry for a beautiful shimmer.
Apply the medium colour over your lid from lash line to crease, then, using a crease brush, blend the darkest shade in the crease of your lid. To finish, sweep the lightest shade under your brow bone as a highlight.
The colour options:
Beam – has a pearl, peachy rose, and a burnt copper colour. It’s a great neutral palette and would really suit any eye colour and skin tone.
Flash (favourite!) – pink-brown, a deeper pink and this gorgeous moss green. These colours are just lovely, especially used together. Beautiful on everyone especially darker skin tones.
Smashing Strobe – pink-pearl, slate blue and a stunning chocolate brown. Love this on blue eyes.

Chanel Exceptionnel Mascara
Musings:
Go out and buy it now! Or, to save yourself some cash, buy a Marie Claire magazine (April issue) and get the sample size free - great mag, great freebie.
This Mascara was amazing, separates, lengthens, thickens, easily. Fabulous brush which is the secret to this mascara. Has a combination of the rubber bristles and real bristles to get every lash.
Investment:
You can purchase online at Fragrances and Cosmetics or most department stores - a little on the expensive side though so try grabbing an April issue of the Marie Claire if you can.
Enjoy!

L'OREAL Extra Volume Collagene Mascara
Musings:
A sucker for mascara, I'll try any that hit the shelves! Always been a big fan of the Lash Architect mascara by L’Oreal, this one comes close, but not quite there…
The brush is really thick, however the bristles aren’t. There are bristles of different lengths to get right into your lashes. I got a nice even coat of the mascara on the lashes, the consistency was good, got great coverage and it did seem to lengthen the lashes but didn’t really add a lot of volume. Its not as thick and clumpy as other mascaras – this is a good choice for those who hate clumps.

Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion
Musings:
Jump on to any forums or make up junkie sites and you will soon see that this little baby is a favourite to almost anyone who’s used it! Simply smooth it on with your finger across the entire lid to the brow, wait a minute or so for it to dry completely and apply your shadows and eye make up as normal. This stuff makes your eye make up look cleaner and more vibrant, and ensures it doesn’t move throughout the day.
The packaging is deceptive as you think you’ve run out but there's still plenty tucked into the bottom packaging. Cut it open, scoop it out and store in a small airtight jar.

Too Faced Eye Shadow 'Glamazon' (Sliver Fawn)
Musings:
Good colour and pigment, a little expensive and not quite the same colour on the skin but still a very pretty colour. Wears quite well throughout the day. Would suit most skin tones, particularly green and brown eyes – has a slight purple shade to it, quite metallic, I really cant see the 'silver' in it.
